  1. Cheating is not acceptable if you do it all the time. Like in boxing judges are always corrupt by boxers or by the audience. The judges always get paid off so they can throw the fight or judge the unexpected. Cheating is a way to win but then it will catch on and bite you on butt. The lies will be discovered by the truth. Some coaches, players, or managers cheat because they need the publicity of winning and money. I just think it is unacceptable because cheating is just way to make you think you are good at something and a way to win without playing hard.

    1. I agree with Alexis. Cheating should not be exceptional. It is very true that many coaches make their players cheat, they have bin playing the sport longer then their players and have had more of a competitive thinking that they would allow their players to cheat so they can win.

    2. I agree with Alexis, cheating is unacceptable and players who do cheat should be punished for their actions. It is unfair to other athletes that do not cheat.

    3. I agree with Alexis, cheating is never acceptable. Players who do cheat should be punished. There are consequences for wrong actions and any player who cheats should be ready to face them. Cheating is very unfair to other athletes and does not make you a better player. I would be pretty ashamed of myself if I had to cheat just to be as good or better than another player.

    4. I somewhat agree with Alexis. I personally witnessed a coach encourage their players to personal sabotage a game by cheating in order to make a point.

  2. In my opinion, cheating in sports is unacceptable and unethical. If you feel the need to cheat in the sport you play, you’re probably not good enough to be playing the sport competitively. Gaining an unfair advantage, such as doing steroids shows how corrupt sports can be. Yet, athletes cheat every day, these athletes are supposed to be role models in their community. They are being bad role models to kids that look up to them. In my opinion punishment for cheating should be more severe than it has been; this will discourage athletes from cheating now and in the future.

    1. I agree. If athletes continue using methods to enhance their performances, then kids who look up to some of these athletes might view that as an okay thing to do and turn to steroids.

    2. I agree with Manroop, if you cheat then you are not good enough to play that sport. Also, the superstars are role models and will let people down if they cheat.

    3. I agree with manroop on saying the athletes are role models. Kids will do almost anything to be as good as there role models. I feel some kids would be more likely to cheat if they knew their role model cheated as well. I think they will also ruin their names in cheating as well.

    4. I agree with Manroop, athletes have a huge influence on kids. If the kid's role model cheats I believe so will he or she. Kids will look up to those athletes and use methods to cheat and get out of succeeding and achieving things on their own. Athletes should be a good influence towards children.

    5. I agree with Manroop. If you cheat to be able to accomplish something in a sport then you are pretty much saying you are not good enough to play the sport. It shows people you have to rely on other things to do what you want to do. So if I were to trust you to accomplish something without anything that could help you I wouldn't feel sure or confident that you would be able to do it. If you cheat yourself for a sport you love, what will you do for something that you don't love as much? I wouldn't be able to trust you. Cheating just shows you can't do something by yourself.

  3. As a young athlete I do not believe cheating is acceptable. I think this because the game is met to be played by the rules or else we would never know who the better team or player is. I think cheating will always happen but it should be prevented as most possible as it can. Cheating can be harmful in someways. For example if a boxer puts something hard in his gloves he can terribly hurt his opponent. It may sometimes result in death if an athlete over doses on steroids. This is why I think cheating is not acceptable. It can be very harmful and unfair.

    1. I agree with abe, if people cheat no one will know who the better team, or player will be. I also believe that cheating will always happen because they always find way around the rules.

  4. Is it acceptable to cheat in sports? In, some cases it is acceptable to cheat because you have a valid excuse to cheat. Example, let's say the other team is cheating and there is no other way to overcome the result. In this case it is acceptable to cheat to level the field. In any other case it is unethical to cheat because cheating just means you can not win with what you have, you as an individual have to find other way to win, which in this case is cheating. So in some special cases it is okay to cheat but most of time it is just not right to cheat.

    2. I disagree with you, there is no need to stoop down to a cheaters level. Cheating is morally wrong and should not be done, even if your opponent is cheating.

    3. I strongly disagree with aldo because if you know the other team cheats but you beat them without with out cheating you are going to feel good about your self. But if you beat the and cheat ok you beat them but because you cheated too.

    4. I disagree with you, cheating should never play a mole in a sport because there just showing how weak of an athlete they are and not only does it give the athlete a bad look but also to the sport too.

    5. I honestly agree with this, if someone is attempting to take advantage of me why not return the favor. An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.

  5. No I do not think it is acceptable to cheat in anything. I would rather work hard and achieve something without cheating knowing I accomplished something rather than just cheating. I would rather feel accomplished and actually feel like I achieved something rather than feeling like I have not done anything. I believe cheating is always wrong no matter what. You should always work hard for what you really want. It hardly ever works out well when one cheats and takes the easy way out. I believe if you really want and care for something you will push yourself and work hard to get it.

    1. I agree with Yahya, working hard gives you a greater feel of self worth knowing that you put in the work and did not cheat. If you are truly love the sport you play cheating should not cross your mind.

    2. I agree with Yahya. Working hard for something and know you did it all by yourself is such a better feeling than knowing you did it but cheating yourself to accomplish what you have accomplished. On the other hand you are respected and honored by people more when they know you did all that because of your hard work; not by cheating.

  6. Cheating is never the right thing to do, especially in a sport. What's the purpose of cheating your way to success and not doing it naturally. It's better to work hard and make the sacrifices in becoming a great athlete , so that when you do start to see yourself excel, you can feel great about yourself knowing you put in the work. Also, when you cheat in a sport, it almost always comes back to you and people who once praised and looked up to you, start to doubt and despise you. Plus all the accomplishments that you had , would get taken away from you.

    1. I agree with you, people that look up to that athlete start to realize that he's doing the wrong thing. Then nobody will look up to you as a good player, because you cheated the game.

    2. I agree with Calvin that it is never the right thing to do. Like he explained i would love to see the progress I have made myself knowing I did not need supplements to do that. I would not have any regrets looking at my past knowing I did it myself. Also I would not have that guilty concious knowing I cheated.

    3. I agree with you because whats the point of playing a sport if your not doing the best in your ability to become the best?

  7. You could cheat, but I wouldn't recommend it. There are some people who do actually get away with it for a while, but you seem like a decent person. You could probably get away with it for a bit, but having to face the fallout is rarely fun, or worth it. It's a very, very cruel thing to do in something you care about- most times you do have to deal with infidelity at some point, but it's not fun at all.

    1. I agree with Ryan, some of the athletes have in honest face and look like a hard worker on and off the field that we don't expect or want to believe that they would be that low.

  9. What I think is that its never acceptable to cheat at a sport because of the very nature of sports. Sports are valuable for many reasons, including diversion, exercise, and the promotion of skills such as teamwork, and comradry. The entire point of sports is put to shame if there is cheating because the playing field is no longer level, and the competition is an illusion. Also cheating has tarnished the image of many great sports in recent years. Cheating is unacceptable, and threatens to make a mockery of many proud national traditions. It teaches the young that poor morality is acceptable, and it sets a bad example. Also, drug use is dangerous for athletes' health and well-being.

    1. I agree that cheating results in competition being lost. There are rules for a reason, and if people don't abide by them, they should not play sports.

    2. I agree with your statement about cheating being unacceptable, that it just shows a mockery of not only the athlete but also the national tradition.

  10. Cheating should never be aloud in sports. It would not make the game fun or fair. Their are people who work hard on improving themselves in a sport and it can be taken away by one person who decided to cheat. Why would people try to take that big of a risk? People will look at that person in a very different way, if he/she ever got caught. Cheating is just for the lazy man who dose not want to put in the work or effort on improving themself's, and is scared to face on an opponent who is committed to winning.

  11. I think that cheating is no acceptable in sports. I hate when people cheat because it is just not fair. If someone is working as hard as they can and the other person is to lazy and just cheats that's bad. I never cheated when I played sports because I never thought of myself having to cheat to win the game. I feel as effort should be put in to win and not finding a way to cheat. When I think of athletes I think of hard work, not cheating. I don't care how hard the game is, find a way to win that's not breaking the rules. I also think cheating just makes you look really bad. Why would you want a player that only knows how to cheat. Why take the risk, just to win the game when you can just play the way it's suppose to be played. Being fair is important when playing a sport, also good sportsmanship. When I thing of a player cheating it shows a lot of bad sportsmanship. This can also make the team look really bad.

  12. I believe it is clearly not acceptable to cheating in any type of sport. If you were an athletic person and were caught cheating imagine how terrible you would make your self look, how your fans will turn away from you. Your fans will be very disappointed with you because they have thought that you were a great player and new how to play the game right without any help or cheating. People will probably as well call you names and make so much fun off you. It is better to have your fans to know that you worked hard to achieve great goals instead of them knowing you couldn't follow the sports rules.

  13. I think cheating in sports is unacceptable, but it has always been a way of sports. Personally I always think in some way shape or form, somebody is cheating a sport. It can be a major cheat or a small one but it has always been part of sports. I don't think its right but can't stop it all the time. Players should play the game by the rules so no one could ever argue or cause arguments. Also there would be no corruption in the sport. Playing fair in my opinion is the way to go because at the end of the day you can honestly say I earned it.

  15. I don't think its ever ok to cheat in sports under no circumstances. I do however think its really smart, but its always a consequence that comes with that. You could get caught, fined a fee, forced to retire or resign. Its always a penalty with cheating. You might feel like the man or on top of the world at first. Because you haven't been caught up with it yet, but when it catch up to you you'll be in for a rude awakening

  16. Many people believe cheating in sports is okay; I believe cheating in sports is unacceptable. Cheating ruins the competitive drive of sports because one person now has an unfair edge over another. When I lose any sport, I recognize the fact that the other person or team was better than me on that day. However, if I lose to a cheater, I become furious that I was robbed of a win. Nobody deserves to be cheated out of a victory after working very hard to be the best they can be. Cheating is morally wrong and has no place in sports.

  17. I believe cheating is unacceptable in any sport. Reasons why I believe its unacceptable to cheat is because your not showing your true talent in the sport your cheating on, your just finding ways on how to make yourself look better. Also, cheaters always get caught someway and have to pay the consequences of either losing the trust of the fans and still be in the sport or go to jail and leave the sport they work hard to be in just cause of finding ways on how to become a better athlete but the dirty way. Lastly, not only do they lose trust of there fans but they also lose everything they worked hard for being in the top, just cause of cheating or taking any types of sports enhancing drugs to make them even better. That is why it is never acceptable to ever cheat cause you lose everything you have worked for to be in that position that you are in.

    1. I agree with you Jose I think cheating is unacceptable because players don't show their true talent and want it easier by cheating. Fans will look up to them and will want to cheat to.

  18. In this instance you are referring to athletes using drugs. I can understand from where you are coming from on that note. But what if your favorite athlete cheated, you would not think differently of them. Likewise, with your favorite team, if they cheated, you would still accept them, wouldn't you?

  19. Honestly I feel that if you are able to be get away with it, it isn't cheating. Think about it Marion Jones. Do you really think that if she hadn't gotten caught that she would be in the same situation she is now? Probably not, anyone who is willing to go that extra stride to achieve the goal they set for themselves are usually the ones who succeed the most in life. Anything that can give that extra advantage to win can be the difference between success and failure. Just as the famous quote goes "If your not cheating your not trying."

  20. In my opinion cheating should not be accepted in sports. As a boxer i have to train hard to achieve my goals and if someone is cheating and achieving the same goals as me that would not make them better then me. For example if you are taking steroids, you will get stronger and faster but I would rather push my body to the limit and see how strong and fast I can really get without cheating.

  21. They say " you ain't cheatin then you ain't tryin" there are a lot of ways people can debate on this subject, but in my opinion I don't think cheating is good in any way, it's unfair and can get you kicked off them team.
It's not fair to cheat, if everyone else is trying they're hardest and you don't try your hardest and you cheat for example as a steroid, that's completely not fair to the others who actually try, plus cheating gets you no where, you will never learn from it and once you can't cheat anymore you will be horrible at the sport.
