I believe that high school sports can have a huge impact in a students life. It can motivate them to get done their school work and make sure they pass all their classes. I also think it is a good way to keep students out of trouble and helps make sure they are making good decisions. Being on a high school sports team is a privilege and a student should realize that a sport is not the most important thing in the world. Sports should come after education and even family in high school.
I agree that sports always have an impact on a students life and that family always come first, at certain points in life family is not going to able to come first, if you are in a certain situation that family is not able to come first there is nothing going to hold a grudge on you if your not always there for them, your family is not going to hate you forever.
I believe that family always comes first no matter what happens because family will always be there for you. They will accept you no matter if you win or lose they are your number one supporters. Also, your fellow students should come after family because your friends will be there even if you move out of state or if you change schools. Your community should come last because your community most likely only knows your name and what you do but they don’t know how you got to where you are.
I do not completely agree with the statement, "your fellow students should come after family because your friends will be there even if you move out of state or if you change schools," because sometimes friends just leave, sometimes there is no reason or sometimes for a reason. Also, when a friend moves to a different state or even just a different school, unless they had a really good relationship with them, they will most likely not keep in touch or be there for you.
I think that family comes before High school sports some people think differently than others. High school sports is always going to be there no matter what, it doesn't much you care the sport as long as your family is okay on everything and there is nothing wrong with anybody as health wise. I would put family first than sports second because family isn't going to be there forever and sports is going to be there as long as you are going live.I believe that sports could be a major thing but nothing more than a family that is happy and satisfied with one another. Having family could be more than just playing sports its a privilege that some people don't have or can't for other reasons being. Having a family can be better for others or it can be worse for others, I believe having a family will overcome high school sports at anytime and at any piont of time.
Yes, family comes before sports. But,students in high school should join a sport. Joining a sport in high school is a good way meeting new people and making new friends.Even students in high school should be in a sport to be fit and athletic. And its a way of students will be out of trouble.
I disagree with you. I believe that sports can be important in students lives. It can help them concentrate on school work and get good grades. It gives them something to work hard for and play on a team. Sports also help students away from other problems they are facing. Sports in school come and go but family stays.
I believe that getting an education is more important to a student athlete than sports. Only a small amount of high school athletes end up fulfilling their dreams of becoming a professional athlete. However, education is the best investment a student can make. This doesn't mean playing sports is bad. In many cases playing sports can make a person better at working with others as well as gain other important skills. Parents should also be responsible and make sure that their children are focusing on their education and not letting sports get in the way.
I agree with your statement that education is more important than sports. Even for students that can make it in the big league you should always have an education because playing sports means you have a chance of a career ending injury. But with your education you would be able to enter a different career and go on with your life.
I believe that when students are in high school, sports play a major role in their high school experience. Doing sports not only keeps students active but it also motivates them to do well in school. To a student-athlete education should always come first. It is important for students to prioritize school first, then sports. Although practices and games are important, it does not overpower homework, tests, and especially not family. A student must recognize that although a sport does require dedication and time commitment, their family comes first no matter what. The reason I believe this is because a students family will always be there for them, no matter what the case may be. While in sports, once the season is over, in most cases everything ends with a couple of new friendships made, but that’s it. I belive that sports are important but first comes school and family, then comes sports.
I believe that sports are somewhat of an importance to a student-athlete's everyday life. I feel that sports are an escape from a student's problem that they are facing every day. For example, if I'm feeling brooding or angry, I usually turn to basketball to make me feel better about myself. It helps me relax and go back to focus on school and life again. School and family are very important as well to a student athlete. I think that they should come before sports because a sport will always be there unlike education and family.
I believe that sports can be important in students lives. It can help them concentrate on school work and maintain grades. It gives them something to work hard for and play on a team. Sports activities also deter students away from other problems they are facing. Even though sports can do a lot for students, family should be the priority. Sports in school come and go but family stays. Education is also something for the long run and what people want to do in life which comes first before sports.
I believe that sports are a great way to bring communities together, especially during very important games. However, in my opinion, I think that family should come first, because they are the ones that will always be there for you. Also, a student's education should come before a sport. I think this because if something does happen where you become injured and unable to play, you will always have the knowledge to do something else. In today's world you will not make it without a good education and a caring family!
I agree with you and your comment. What I do not agree with is that sometimes the community takes a single game a little too serious to the point where they might be mad at their players from their community. I also agree with education because the education is always going to be there even if you do not make it to the big leagues.
I agree that communities put us together because i couldn't imagine Odessa without football because it gives them something to look forward to and there love for it. It also makes students come together at school. I also agree about Family first because they put us in school to get a good education and to be successful.
I believe that everyone should be a part of any sport or activity, to show support and also give the players motivation. I say this because without a crowd in the stands is like having a car but no engine, they give the players motivation because they see that the fans care and support them. I'm going to give you an example: My sophmore year I played football for the rams, every single game i had my parents were there to support my every move, and that also gave me motivation just looking back in the stands and knowing you have support. But then an injury occured; We were practicing on this one beautiful monday nothing but sweat and hard work, we were doing some drills and this kind run towards me and tripped on his foot and hit me right in the knee. I didn't feel pain that night but when I got up the next morning I couldn't walk. We went to the doctors and they told me I had my knee cap dislocated, my acl torn, and also another ligament which I forgot whats it called, Once they told me this I started to cry. There wasn't anything I could do, so that meant no more football for me. Before all this happened on a Monday, that last friday we played I believe it was oaklawn I'm not sure. They put me in towards the end of 4 quarter, I was ready and pumped. They put me in as d-end ahh man was I ready to pop a guy out. We huddled and set the play. I rember hearing hut and I just shot up like a gun shot, I drove my helment into the guys stomach, I bet that hurt. The Monday after the game I heard that I was going to be a starting end. Everyone that I knew heard about what happened and helped me get threw it. The support I had from players, students, teachers, friends and my family was unbelievable. I couldn't of done it without them. The helped build up again and regain my strenght that I had. So yes I do believe that students, parents and also the community should be apart of any sport or activities.
I believe that sports play a big role in a high school students' life. Being involved with a sports team can create friendships and help you get over some tough parts in your life. Sports can also teach some lessons and skills for development of themselves and interaction between other people. However, I think family and an education should come before sports. I say this because a family can help carry and motivate you through the ups and downs of life and an education can provide a backup option if an athlete ever gets injured or decides to retire from their career.
I believe that not all student-athletes have the same support from their families as other student-athletes. All families are different with different struggles. Family might get in the way of sports and affect you in the greatest way. Families should be as supportive as they can but not all families are.
I agree. Sports are very important in a teenager's life. They keep us motivated, help us stay out of trouble, and give us a reason to keep our grades up. However, students should try hard in school, not just to be eligible for the sports they play, but also for their improve themselves and have successful futures. Hardly anyone will make a career out of sports, and even those who will must have good grades to succeed.
If a student has a talent to play sports, it should be one of the most important things in life. They should focus on their education and the sports they play in. If a student does well in school and in sports it would be easier for them to be accepted into a great college. Parents want to see their kids succeed in life, if their children is talented in sports they are going to keep encouraging them to keep playing. Parents are going to try to motivate them to keep doing well in sports and in school. If a community has a high school known for their sports it would make the community look good. It would give the community popularity and fame. Like, the community of Odessa they are known for their Permian high school football team. Sports can be very important for many people.
I believe student athletics can play a major role in a students life. Being eligible in a sport means you must stay on top with your education, and that can be a huge motivator for the student. Obviously there are other priorities that are far more important than sports like education and family. For students, they must know that sports can only get you so far and the only road to success is education at this point in their lives. I know that when i'm ticked off or am having an awful day I can always turn to basketball and soccer to get myself to feel better and give myself a reality check.
Being able to play sports throughout high school is a privilege that unfortunately not everyone gets a chance to do. So if you have that chance you better not waste it and take advantage of every moment and capture your goal. Parents also play a great role in their child's sport career because they provide your needs and help support your journey. Coaches also teach you to be your best and many different skills not only on the court or field, whatever the case, but even in other situations. Sports also are a great way to keep you on track with school and a way to have some time to do something you enjoy and have fun. Getting the community involved is also awesome because it makes you and your team want to be the best and show everyone how hard you've worked and deserve the credit.
I agree with your point that playing sports is a privilege that not everyone has, however, getting a good education is also a privilege that not everyone has. A plethora of high school students don't have the privilege to get an education from well educated teacher. That is why those who have the ability to get a good education should take advantage of it.
Sports can be very important to a student-athlete as it allows them to interact with other people in a different way than they would interact with people in a class room. Sports keep kids off the streets as they should be attending practice everyday. it also helps them with school as athletes have to maintain good grades to be able to play. and if they are good enough they can make a career out of playing sports. But a student-athlete should remember that education is key and should come first.
I agree, I believe that sports can help students with both social skills as well as keeping them from making bad decisions or doing things they shouldn't be doing. It keep their grades up and keeps them motivated in school rather then not really caring about their grades or education. So i also agree that in most cases education comes before sports, only under rare circumstances it might be the other way around.
I agree very strongly with your personal view on how all these things come together. Maintaining a good GPA and playing a sport can help you in the future for college which can help provide a better education. But, however, I don't agree with Sports keeping kids off the streets because some just could careless and during the off-season perform in various negative activities.
I believe every high school student should do one sport in their time in high school. If they actually do a sport they should always put family first in front of any sport family is always going to come first.Sometimes your teammates might even become your family.Sports should come second of course but you should do your work that's why they're called student athletes. School sometimes might come first because you have to be eligible to play your sports .
i agree with you on how the students need to work on school more than in sports. they need to have a backup plan to their lives if they got injured or couldn't play anymore. and its true that family needs to come first. because they are the only people that will always have your back when you think that you have nobody but yourself
I agree with this because family is always going to be there no matter what, some teammates could become family too you but those teammates aren't always going to be there too support you. Eligibility is also important but family is always going to come first in my opinion.
I believe that sports are important because if you want to be in a sport you have to have good grades and keep them good. Sports make you become more responsible to keep your grades and to keep up with everything. But family always is number one thing because if you are great at a sport they will Moviatate you to keep it up. Playing sports in high school keeps you out of trouble keeps you on track everything pretty much.
I completely agree with Kamil's statement. Sports do keep you out of trouble and make the community safer as a whole. Family is your number one support system and should always come first and compromise with other commitments you may be involved in as a student-athlete. I also agree with sports being a good motivator to keep up with grades, in order to play you need to maintain a certain grade point average.
I believe that high school sports can help students with their education and problems they are having. It will not only help them stay physically active, it would also help them stay mentally active too. Being on a sport will help stay focused and on task. Many sports would help relieve stress from working and or relieve anger. For example, say it's spring and your vehicle breaks down a block away from your school and you're late. You forgot that you have a test that's worth 15% of your grade. You didn't study for it so you take it anyways because you think it wont be hard. The teacher graded the test. You failed the test. Your angry because your day is getting worse by the hour. It's the end of the day and you have baseball practice. Your throwing the ball as hard as you can to let all that had happened today go away. The next day your refreshed and your normal self. So that's why I believe that students should be in a sport.
I agree with you but not at 100%, sports do help you get your anger is stress out it works a lot but sometimes playing angry is not always the best. Yes it is going to take the stress and anger away but if you do play angry you will make mistakes or might hurt yourself or someone else.
I believe in what your saying that it can help you relieve stress and help you maintain your grades up but in some cases it can't. If your really stressed and the coach is yelling at you it can get you even more mad than your are already.
Sports are very important in a high schooler's life. Imagining a world without sports is tough since most kids grow up watching the pros play on television. Even though sports can mean a lot to a person or community, education must come first. Most teenagers end up no where with sports but end up somewhere with education. Placing a limit of importance on sports may not be the best thing in a teenager's life but is necessary.
To some students in high school, sports are not that important to them. They might have a different talent like playing an instrument or dancing. They will focus more on getting good grades and getting into college. But, I do agree with your opinion that education comes first.
I agree with you that education should come before sports, and imagining a world without sports would be tough, but some high school students may have never watched pros or maybe even played a sport. Sports to them are not as important as sports are to some other people. As long as they are happy succeeding in either an academic area, sports or both, then great for them. I think most people find a way to balance both education and sports though.
I think that a student athlete should focus a lot on their sports, but focus more in school and on other aspects of their lives as well. Sports are very unpridicable, for example, Boobie never thought about his knee messing up. So all he focused on was football, forgetting the fact that in sports there are injury's that can leave you out of the game and up to crippled. Meanwhile his performance in classes were way below average. Which after the injury would not help him much to get a better future or career for him. Also i think that communities should get as involved in high school sports as they can. Being a player and knowing that you have all your community behind you, pushes you a little bit more to work harder. Because you wouldn't want to disappoint everybody for not being the best you could be. But at the same time communities cant be too into them as well, to the point where if the team loses then the whole community breaks down, and goes crazy. It would put way to much responsibility and pressure onto the athlete that he shouldn't have to be dealing with at that age yet.
Yes i agree with your opinion because like he said if you focus too much on sports and get injured there goes your career. if you even do good in sports always have a back up plan because you never know what might happen or if you get injured and cant play anymore. Education might come before sports but it all depends on the person.
In my opinion sports and activities help students tremendously by keeping students off the street and causing trouble, which helps make our community safer as a whole. Also the Student in Student-athlete should be emphasized because school does come first and sports definitely help athletes keep their grades up because students need to be eligible in order to play in any sport. Most kids meet their friends in the activities and sports they are in which make students anti-social.
In my opinion parents and the community should get involved with high school sports and check how his or her kid is doing. They should check first how they are doing in school first, if they are passing with A's or failing. Then take a look in the sport their attending. A student in a sport during school can help him keep his grades up and it can help him make long life friends that will help him get through a tough situation.

ReplyDeleteI completely agree with Kamil's statement. Sports do keep you out of trouble and make the community safer as a whole. Family is your number one support system and should always come first and compromise with other commitments you may be involved in as a student-athlete. I also agree with sports being a good motivator to keep up with grades, in order to play you need to maintain a certain grade point average.
DeleteI believe that high school sports can help students with their education and problems they are having.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you but not at 100%, sports do help you get your anger is stress out it works a lot but sometimes playing angry is not always the best. Yes it is going to take the stress and anger away but if you do play angry you will make mistakes or might hurt yourself or someone else.
DeleteI believe in what your saying that it can help you relieve stress and help you maintain your grades up but in some cases it can't. If your really stressed and the coach is yelling at you it can get you even more mad than your are already.
DeleteSports are very important in a high schooler's life.
ReplyDeleteTo some students in high school, sports are not that important to them. They might have a different talent like playing an instrument or dancing.
DeleteThey will focus more on getting good grades and getting into college.
DeleteI think that a student athlete should focus a lot on their sports, but focus more in school and on other aspects of their lives as well.
ReplyDeleteYes i agree with your opinion because like he said if you focus too much on sports and get injured there goes your career. if you even do good in sports always have a back up plan because you never know what might happen or if you get injured and cant play anymore. Education might come before sports but it all depends on the person.
DeleteIn my opinion sports and activities help students tremendously by keeping students off the street and causing trouble, which helps make our community safer as a whole. Also the Student in Student-athlete should be emphasized because school does come first and sports definitely help athletes keep their grades up because students need to be eligible in order to play in any sport. Most kids meet their friends in the activities and sports they are in which make students anti-social.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion parents and the community should get involved with high school sports and check how his or her kid is doing. They should check first how they are doing in school first, if they are passing with A's or failing. Then take a look in the sport their attending. A student in a sport during school can help him keep his grades up and it can help him make long life friends that will help him get through a tough situation.
