Inspiration

What makes a sports story inspirational?

  1. What makes a sports story inspirational is the way the team is. The team should consist of players who want to play together and care for each other. That team would most likely be a team that not really anybody would think they'll win. The team would be known as a tough and confident team with an attitude of never giving up and always playing their hearts out. They don't worry about individual goals, they worry about team goals and ways to help the team out. The team would win games they are not expected to win and would be known as "Under Dogs". The team would accomplish goals like winning a state title in which no one would think they would do.

  2. What makes a sport insperational, is the way how the team is made. The team has to have players that are willing to work hard, and put in the work everyday when they are at practice. The players should be able to work hard 110 percent, even when the grind sets in. The team should b known as under dogs, but is recognized by how hard they work, and how they never give up, and keeps pushing the peace. Winning games or meets that everybody thinks or knows that you shouldnt win, pull big upsets, and make names for them selves. And focus in winning a state title.

    1. I have to admit, the team is quite important. If there is no team, there is no tale.

  3. I think what makes a sports story so inspirational is the adversity. A lot of people have disadvantages or weaknesses in something whether its school, family, or sports related. One person I like is Derrick Coleman. Derrick Coleman became deaf at age 3, he continued to play football even though he was deaf. Coleman went on to play for UCLA but went undrafted in 2012. Coleman is now playing for a super bowl this Sunday. I think a lot of people like to see people that had obstacles in front of them succeed. I think when people hear stories like this they are motivated to do better. I think adversity and motivation is key to an inspirational sports story.

  4. I think that an inspirational sports story is almost always some sort of an underdog story. An unexceptional team with average to mediocre players starts to win games and defeat opponents through the use of hard work, practice, and determination. This team stuns opponents in games that they "should not have won" and goes on to be remembered as an inspiration. This same concept can be applied to just one player (or athlete) as well. In the example of Rudy, a young, poor student who is full of heart but has little football ability dreams of one day playing football for Notre Dame. After overcoming various hardships in his life, through pure determination and willpower, he makes the team. This inspirational, at times relatable story continues to motivate and galvanize people across the world.

  5. I think an inspirational sports story is always composed of someone people can relate to that does something remarkable. The person in this story inspires people that are aware of the story to attempt to do something special because they themselves were nothing but became something due to determination and drive. Inspirational sports story make people have a mindset that they can also conquer hardships and become a role model to people that still haven't been inspired.

  6. There is a lot of hard work and determination when it comes to being a successful athlete. There are many obstacles that athletes have to over come and work through in order to get a chance to compete for the top. Sports is not only about the physical aspects of the concept, but there are also a lot of mental ideas that come with it. A big challenge of an athlete would definitely be the mental toughness, and the ability to mentally keep yourself going and motivated. That is considered inspirational. Very often, sport figures are role models of those who watch the sports. They are admired because they work hard mentally and physically, and those fans look to them for inspiration.

  7. I think an inspirational sport story can be when a person started from the very bottom with no money and still make it to the top in the sport they love. Those storys inspire other kids to never let go of their dreams and it just takes hard work. It can also be about a team who was an all white team, but later let and accepted other races to compete and do great. That can inspire the world to look past color and just lookat them as the athletes they are. A story about a team working together and sticking together no matter what can also be inspirational to other teams or people. What makes a story inspirational in the end is to touch the hearts of someone and hopefully change them for the better.

  8. I believe sports become inspirational when an athlete overcomes adversity. Whether that adversity is being the underdog, having personal issues going on in their lives, or starting from the bottom and making their way to the top. When somebody overcomes adversity, it makes the reward ever so sweeter and can even become inspirational for others. A very famous basketball player by the name of Michael Jordan who was cut from his high school basketball team, but later became one of the best basketball players of all time. This story has become inspirational for thousands of aspiring basketball players, because it shows that even if you don't succeed the first time you still have a chance to succeed. A sports story would not be interesting if the best team continued being the best nor would it be inspirational because there is no adversity to overcome.

  9. Sport story are inspirational because they motivate people. They motivate people by showing them how someone who was really poor or wasn't that good in a sport accomplishes something unusual. They often become rich or become pros in what they do. In most of the stories, the person feels that he or she is not the best one in what they do, and at the end they show as the best ones.

  10. What makes a sport inspirational, is the way how the team is motivated by people. That team have to have motivated people who are willing and giving everything as a team. The players have to give everything or even more than they could. Their personal abilities that they have should be counted and see if they never gave their best and keeps pushing the peace. And so in most of their stories players those people needs and fans look to them for inspiration.

  11. I think sport stories are inspirational but only if they are created in a creative way. Sport stories show people how to be motivated what is good and what is bad. People can learn from examples in the stories. Most of the time stories are created on the way who is better than the other one. Some stories encourage people that even if you are not that good you can still do great in what ever you are wiling to do. Stories either end good or bad but most of the time they end as they are unfinished.

  12. I think sport stories are inspirational if there is dedication and a willing to win and achieve personal goals as a individual person and as a team. I also think that if there is a person who has that team leadership and is willing to do anything for the team it makes the story even better. But I really think that if there is that dedication and the willingness to push and achieve and conquer goals then it makes the story even more precious and inspirational.

  13. Depending on the sport, it is usually consist of an underdog team and going up against really good team. A majority of people when reading a sports story get inspired and or motivated by the underdog team playing as one and the Really good team being shut down and out played. Another reason why sport stories are inspirational is because one player makes his dreams come through and help get the win for his team by him being a nobody and surprising everyone.

  14. I think that an inspirational sports story would be good to start off by briefly explaining the hard life of the person and lacking in the elements of life to motivate themselves, work for what they want, and overcome everyday obstacles that an average wealthy person would not be able to handle or understand the concepts of "living the hard way".

  15. A sport story only can be special if you can relate it to your sport. You need a lot of passion for a sport to have a lot of inspiration. Inspiration could also be like a motivational thing to get you ready for a sport or an activity you can do. Personally, I like doing that. Like watching a video about a person that inspires me as a player.

  16. A sport without a team is nothing. Teams are created by all different types of individuals. The beauty about sports is that you don't start off good. Players probably went through many different obstacles to be the person they are today. Sports can be very inspirational because you have to work hard and sometimes you even have to give up things you love for it. A good example would be Michael Oher. Before he even made it to the NFL he had nothing. He didn't have a family to speak of. He grew up in a rough part of Memphis. His mom was a crack-addict and his father was was gone. When he enrolled in high school, he didn't have a permanent home. He achieved everything, he thought he couldn't. A sport can define a person, define who they are, and what they become. It can help someone change their lives. Your team becomes your family. That is why its inspirational.

  17. A sports story is inspirational when it has a large impact on america as a whole. No one pays attention to the run of the mill base ball team, but the team playing against the best of the best in the world, now thats important. Inspiration comes from those who lead the impact, not just help it along. A david and goliath can easily be the difference between the yearly boxing finals, and what puts a new city on the map. The tales of the small people taking down such hulking giants, thats the way of inspiration.

  18. I think that a sports story is very inspirational because not only does it give the reader something to read but it gives them interest and a view of the world in someone else s point of view. I don't think all sport stories are inspirational. The stories that are the most inspirational are those about people who give work and dedication to a sport that they love. An athlete that works hard every day that they can for the sport and one that gives up anything for it. There are some athletes that only do the sport for the fame. I think the best inspirational stories are from the athletes that do it for their family and fans. I also think that the best sport stories come from an athlete that has been doing the sport his/her whole life or a sport that is passed on by generation. My family does pass down soccer in the family but only some of us play it, most just come and watch the games. This is why i think a sports story that is inspirational should come from someone that truly loves the sport, doesn't just do it for the fame and glory.
